About Summer Employment Positions
Since 1980, the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) has been committed to offering programs and resources that help identify and nurture the academic development of exceptionally bright students. Duke TIP Educational Programs provide summer opportunities to satisfy the intellectual interests of academically gifted students throughout their secondary school years. We will be hiring talented and committed staff members for the following Summer 2008 programs.
Summer Studies Programs offer students in 7th-10th grades the opportunity to participate in 3 weeks of in-depth study in special Duke TIP courses on one of the following college campuses: Appalachian State University, Davidson College, Duke University (East and West Campuses), Duke University Marine Lab, The University of Kansas, Texas A&M University, and Wake Forest University.
Institutes allow students in 9th-12th grades to explore a topic through an interdisciplinary and experiential course. Students design a project or write a position paper at the conclusion of the course.
Domestic and International Field Studies serve students in 9th-12th grades with a strong interest in science or humanities topics. These unique adventures attract curious, energetic students interested in travel and research.
