Score Requirements: (Score Table 1)
About the Course: Students will explore the structure and function of the human body and its systems. The course will focus on major processes, such as support, transport, homeostasis, and reproduction. Students will analyze the interrelationships between and among the body’s systems as they relate to these major processes. Throughout the course, students will be encouraged to explore the relationship between structure and function, whether at the tissue, organ, or system level. Students will demonstrate their understanding through a series of quizzes, problem-solving assignments, discussion board postings, and research projects. Students will also have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to evaluate medical conditions in a case-study format.
