The Reader's Journey, Volume 1, is a course designed for gifted students in sixth through eighth grade. This gifted curriculum provides a range of skill development opportunities, from novice gifted to advanced gifted students.

These course objectives are taken from the IRA/NCTE Standards for the English Language Arts and North Carolina Standard Course of Study, NC Department of Public Instruction and serve as a specific reference point for national English Language Arts and Social Studies standards.
