Need-based Scholarship Opportunities

We believe that qualified students, regardless of family finances, should have the opportunity to participate in Duke TIP. That’s why we offer over $2 million of need-based financial assistance to families wishing to enroll students in our talent searches, educational programs, and Distance Learning courses.

4th/5th Grade Talent Search: TIP waives the full registration fee for all students who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs.

7th Grade Talent Search: students who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs automatically receive a deeply-discounted Duke TIP registration fee.

Summer Educational Programs: Financial assistance is available for all Summer Studies Programs and for Field Studies domestic sites. Students may receive aid awards ranging from several hundred dollars to awards that cover the full program fee. With the exception of aid available for students with orthopedic disabilities, financial assistance is need-based. Weekend Educational Programs: Depending on need, students may qualify for financial assistance awards that cover between 50 percent to 100 percent of Scholar Weekend course fees. For information about financial assistance for Scholar Weekends held at other locations, please contact the individual host sites.

eStudies and eSeminars: financial assistance for course or seminar fees is available, depending on need.
