Next Generation Venture Fund
"With NGVF, I have someone outside of school helping me out academically and other people believe that I am able to succeed." —NGVF Scholar
The Next Generation Venture Fund (NGVF) is a collaborative venture of the Duke University Talent Identification Program, the Northwestern University Center for Talent Development (CTD), and the Center for Bright Kids (CBK) with the generous support of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and other donors. The fund builds a pipeline for high potential students from diverse backgrounds that leads from middle school, to college, to careers, and into key leadership roles—opportunities that might otherwise be missed. NGVF offers financial help and academic resources to qualified eighth grade students and continues to provide such services through their remaining precollege years.
The mission of NGVF is to build a pipeline for high potential students from diverse backgrounds that will lead from high school to selective colleges and universities, and on to challenging careers and key leadership roles in society. To fulfill this mission, the NGVF Scholar, together with his or her parents, will participate in several activities and programs over the next four years.
