About the Authors

Sally Humble is Curriculum Specialist in English and Humanities at SAS InSchool. Inc. in Cary, North Carolina, where she develops multimedia and digital curriculum for the Internet. She is co-author of Duke TIP's Advanced Placement English Manuals and is a former AP English teacher, English department chair, and IB coordinator at Enloe High School. Dr. Humble has taught college composition and literature at Duke University and Meredith College; has served as an AP English Literature reader, and is a national consultant to the College Board. She received her Ph.D. in English from Duke University.

Tom Humble is principal at Raleigh Charter High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is the co-author of Duke TIP's Advanced Placement manuals, and is a former reader for the AP English examinations. He has taught rhetoric and composition at the college level, and was previously department chair and an AP English Literature and Language teacher at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and Southeast Raleigh High School. Dr. Humble also serves as a national consultant to the College Board. He received his Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina.
